America changed from an agricultural economy to an industrial economy. factories and new machinery made work faster and easier for most. Many people moved out of the country and into the cities. Mass production of goods changed every aspect of American life. Items that were once hard to come by were now easy to find. It also created many jobs for many people. (GOODS ARE MADE BY MACHINE)

Everyone involved in making goods by machine benefited. Machines helped businesses make more goods at a cheaper cost. This allowed the businesses to make more products, earn more money, and hire more people, who then could buy the goods with money they earned. Also, consumers were able to buy cheaper goods.
Why were more slaves needed to grow and pick cotton after the cotton gin was invented?
The factories needed more raw cotton to make into cloth. More slaves were needed to grow and pick cotton because the demand for cotton increased

Train travel was faster, cheaper, and more comfortable. People also could get to more places by train than they could by water routes.

The telegraph allowed news to travel quickly across the country. The telegraph sent Morse code messages along wires using electricity.

even though the telegraph was quick to send messages people thought building a transcontinental railroad to link east and west would be the best way for people and goods to travel faster.
