-Groups of similar cells that work together to perform a specific task or function-Blood BLANK is made of simimlar (blood cells) that work together to do a job.
-Group of different tissues that work together to perform a specific task or function-Your heart is an BLANK made of blood tissue, muscle tissue, nerve tissue, and connective tissue-The different tissues work together to perform a specific task.
-Group of different organs that work together to perform a specific task or function-your digestive system is a group of organs (mouth, esophagus, stomach, small / large intestine, liver) that work together to perform a specific task.
-Has a group of organ systems that work together to perform a specific task ( Making up the BLANK ) and sustaining life.
-Gave cells their name-Looked at dried out cork-Saw dried out cells-Reminded him of monastert cells.
-The BLANK receive materials from the endoplasmic reticulum and send them to other parts of the cell. They also release materials outside the cell.
-The BLANK is the area between the cell membrane and the nucleus. It contains a gel-like fluid in which many different organelles are found.
-Since an animal cell does not have a cell wall, the BLANK forms a barrier between the cyoplasm and the environment outside the cell.
-These small organelles found in many animal cells contain chemicals that break down food particles and worn-out cell parts.
-Almost all animal cells contain a BLANK. The BLANK directs all of the cell's activities, including reproduction.
-These small structures function as factories to produce proteins. BLANK may be attached to the outer surfaces of the endoplasmic reticulum, or they may float free in the cytoplasm.
-This network of passageways carries materials from one part of the cell to another.
-In a plant cell a stiff wall surrounds the cell membrane, giving the cell a rigid boxlike shape.
-These organelles capture energy from sunlight and use it to produce food for the cell. Only on plants.
Characteristics of bacteria
-Live almost everywhere. 3 basic shapes round-cocci, rod-bacilli and spiral-spirilla.
Feautures bacteria use to help them survive
-Capsule, capsule and hairlike projections, slime layer and flagella.
-Different cells do different jobs-they look different (shapes and sizes)-shape and size of cell is due to it function.
- (1) All living things are made of one or more cell- (2) The cell is the basic unit of life in which the activities of life occur- (3) All cells come from cells that already exist.
What is the main way bacteria reproduce
-The way BLANK is by fission. Fission is a process that produces two new cells with ,genetic material identical to each other and that of the original cell.
What is the difference between consumer bacteria or producer bacteria
-BLANK make there own foood others get it from the envirment. BLANK bacteria break down dead organisms to obtain energy. Other use living organisms as food.
-Some BLANK bacteria will grow only where there is no oxygen. Other BLANK bacteria can grow in areas with or without oxygen.
-Cyanobacteria is important because they are a source of food for some organisms im lakes, ponds, and oceans. They are blueish, greenish.
What is the difference between Archaebacteria and Eubacteria
-You would find BLANK in salty and icy enviroments. BLANK can live everywhere.
