Ratio
A comparison of two quantities by division
Proportion
An equation that states that two ratios are equivalent
Rate
A ratio that compares two quantities measured in diffrent units
Unit Rate
A rate in which the second quanity in the comparison is one unit rate.

A unit rate used to compare prices
Conversion Factor
A fration whose numerator and denominator represent the same quantity but use different units; the fraction is equal to 1 because the numerator and denominator are equal
