point
It is an exact location that has no size.
line
Is a a straight path that extends without end in the opposite directions.
plane
a flat surface that has no thickness and extends forever.
ray
Is a part of a line. It has one endpoint and extends forever in one direction.
line segment
Is a part of a line or ray that extends from one endpoint to another.
congruent
if they have the same size. Line segments are congruent if they have the same length.
angle
is formed by two rays with a common endpoint.
vertex
The common endpoint of an angle.
right angle
Is an angle that measures exactly 90 degrees.
acute angle
an angle that measures less than 90 degrees and more then zero degrees.
obtuse angle
An angle that measures more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees.
strait angle
an angle that measures exactly 180 degrees.
complementary angles
If the sum of the measures of the two angles in 90 degrees the the angles are what.
suplementary angles
If the sum of the measures of the two angles is 180 degrees, the the angles are what.
perpendicular lines
If the angles formed by two intersecting lines measure 90 degrees.
parallel lines
lines in the same plane that do not intersect at all.
skew lines
lines that do not intersect, but aren't parallel.
adjacent angles
a common vertex and a common side, but no common interior points.
vertical angles
the opposite angles formed by two intersecting lines.
tranversal
a line that intersects two or more lines that lie in the same plane.
center of a circle
Is the point inside the circle that is the same distance from all points on the circle.
arc
Part of a circle named by its two endpoints.
radious
Line segment whose endpoints are the center of a circle and any point on the circle.
diameter
Line segment that passes through the center of a circle, and whose endpoints lie on the circle.
chord
line segment whose endpoints are any two points on a circle
central angle
A circle is an angle formed by two radii.
sector
A circle is the part of the circle enclosed by the two radii and an arc connecting them.
circle
The set of all points in a plane that are the same distance from a given point called the center of a circle.
