-asymptomatic incubation period
-prodromal phase: N/V, malaise, anorexia, low fever, H/A starts about 2 weeks after exposure, jaundice onset
-icteric phase: 1-2 weeks after jaundice, dark amber urine (tea color), clay colored stools, hepatomegaly (liver enlargement), and RUQ abdominal pain. lasts 6 weeks
-recovery phase: resolution of jaundice about 6-8 weeks, however hepatomegaly may persist for up to 3 months
