•provides legal ground for civil rights movement and the start of CR movement
•the case was the first win for blacks. It over rules plessy case and gives more opportunity to blacks to help them fight. Like access to education.

Montgomery Bus Boycott
•Protest in 1955-1956 to boycott the transportation system in Montgomery, Alabama.
•Rosa Parks had a clean figure. She was a house maid, a baby sitter, and people respected her
•she after a second encounter with the same bus driver refused to give up her seat on the black section of the bus for a White Man.
•she was arrested but released when E.D Nixon President of the Montgomery NAACP hired a lawyer.
•Parks became a symbol for the movement and that allowed them to protest without any contradiction of her character.
•it was the second win for the black community and it gave importance to dr.kings name so he could become a figure for the movement nationwide. This served as another starting point for the civil rights movement.
