How are African American students Treated? do you think its fair?
they are treated very poorly. After the white students are done with their books and their in bad condition, they go to african american children. Its definitely not fair.

The berry brothers were burned because they were accused of flirting with Sally Ann, a white woman. It shows that racism in the 1930's was very severe.
Why has Mr. Morrison come to live with the Logans?
He's there to protect the Logan Family from danger.

They faced the danger of possibly getting killed and not being able to pay their taxes because of shortage in money

They dig ditches in the road so that when the bus comes it will get stuck. I think that in some ways its right but in others its not.

To the person with the car it would make them feel better than everyone else, and to the people without the car it might make them feel unworthy.

He blames his little brother (Claude) for being in the wallace store when he was really dancing there. I don't think its wise for stacey to be friends with him

I think he felt scared that he parents were going to whip him or do something else that would hurt him.

1)She learns that Paul Edward was a carpenter (worked in furniture) but really wanted to own land of his own. 2) She was 18 when she married him 3) The river was named Caroline after Big Ma 4) He bought the land from Mr. Hollenbeck

Because the front of the entrance is for white people.

I think that she deserved to purchase the items and it was her turn, but i wouldn't have demanded it.
How do you think Cassie felt at the end of her day in Strawberry?
I think Cassie felt as if she weren't as important as Lillian Jean and Mr. Barnett.

I think she means that life isn't perfect, we can't choose our destiny, but we can make the best out of what we have.

I would rather have Papa because he is more down to earth and forgiving. Uncle Hammer has a bad temper at times and even though he is more wealthy, Papa is the better father

I think that uncle hammer felt like all the money he paid more the beautiful coat was wasted because Stacey didn't like it. (felt as if he didn't reach his goal of getting stacey to like the coat)

He agrees because he has a bigger heart than the rest of the white men. He believes that all men are equal

You know because from his story about how he was taken away from his family that he had a very hard life.

She must take a stand on the incident with Mr. Barnett, and the incident with Lillian Jean.

I think it was a bad decision, even if someone is mean to you doesn't mean you have to be mean to them.

I think she felted horrible. She was doing something she loved and now she can't.

I wouldn't spend time with the simms boys because you can tell that they are up to no good from the beginning to the end of the book

The wallaces shot a gun that skimmed his forehead. Then he got off balance and fell, thats when stacey couldn't hold Jack back and the wagon ran over his leg. I think this happened because the logans were getting people to shop in vicksburg instead of the wallace shop
Why do you think the bank suddenly wants the Logans to pay their mortgage in full?
I think that Mr. Granger told the bank men to ask for the money sooner because he knew that the logans wouldn't have it
How did T.J. get so badly injured?
He went to strawberry to get the pearl handed pistol that r.w. and melvin promised but the shop was closed. They broke in stole the pistol and killed mr. barnett. T.J. Threatened to tell and r.w. and melvin beat them up
Would you have helped T.J. if you had been in Stacey's place? Why or why not?
I would've helped him even though he had been mean because i wouldn't be able to live knowing that i could've helped him survive.

He said he was going to stop the fighting

I think it means that they all knew that t.j. was going to get in trouble sooner or later and it just happened to be then

They all care about each other
