allow a visual HTML Browser window to be split into segments, each of which can show a different document. This comes at a significant usability cost l especially in non-visual user agents and screen readers. It was once popular, but has fallen out of best practice for web design.
Lossless data compression
is when no data is lost when saving.
Lossy compression method
is one where compressing data and then decompressing it retrieves data that may well be different from the original, but is close enough to be useful in some way. It is never as good as the original.
is an image file format. It was the native file format for PC Paintbrush ( = "Personal Computer eXchange") and became one of the first widely accepted DOS imaging standards, although its use has since been succeeded by more sophisticated image formats such as GIF, JPEG and PNG.

use Lossy compression - the files lose quality the more you save them.
stands for Graphics Interchange Format. these are good for few colors and straight edges such as logos. Supports transience on or off and animation. Small size. Quality level does not degrade when saving since the compression model is lossless.
A PNG file
is an image file stored in the Portable Network Graphic format. It is files are commonly used to store graphics for web images. are lossless, and therefore have advantages over JPG's that lose quality when you save them.
Short for cyan, magenta, yellow, and black/key, and often referred to as process color or four color) is a subtractive color model, used in color printing, also used to describe the printing process itself. It is for PRINTING.
The RGB color mode

Colors and color choice

tend to not like bright colors, lots of movement, low contrast or small fonts.
tend to like big graphic, bright colors, and more animation.
