*SDSs are a widely used system for cataloging information on chemicals, chemical compounds, and chemical mixtures

Includes:
• Instructions for safe use
• Potential hazards associated with certain materials/ingredients
• Spill-handling procedures
• Handling & storage
Prior to using a new product/paint/material, what is the first thing you look at?
SDS - Safety Data Sheet

I look at the SDS to see which safety precautions and protective measures to take before use.

Examples: Respirator, gloves, safety glasses, handling & storing materials
What does VOC stand for?
Volatile organic compounds (fumes/smell of paint)

Found in many building materials and responsible for that "new paint" smell (harmful).

Paint brands that have no VOC options include: AFRM Safecoat, Behr, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, & Yolo Colorhouse
What does EPA stand for?
Environmental Protection Agency

Mission: to protect human & environmental health
