How does punctuation help find a defintion?
Punctuation could help you find the meaning of the sentence by using quotation marks(showing the word has a special meaning), dashes, parentheses, brackets(enclosing a definition), and italics(showing the word will be defined).
Does the definition of a word always have to be in the same sentence?
No. A word or phrase doesn't have to be defined in the same sentence. The readers must look for clues before, after and within the sentence in which the word is used.
