Information provision: (1) the information that is made available to (a part of) an organization, and (2) the people, procedures, data, data carriers, software and hardware that produce this information.
Note 1: An organization's information provision usually consists of several information systems that each fulfil part of the information demand.
Note 2: Data carriers are either digital or analogue (e.g. paper)
Note 3: In addition to the user data needed to produce the required information for the user organization, 'data' also includes artefacts such as information policy, requirements, designs etc. that are needed to support the information provision activities.
