Terms in this set (14)
Control center of the cell. Uses DNA to regulate cell activities.
The outer structure that controls which substances can enter or leave the cell.
Allows certain materials to pass in and out of nucleus.
Receives proteins from the ER, packages them, and distributes them to other parts of the cell.
An organelle containing digestive enzymes. They recycle worn out products.
A "little organ" or structure in the cell that has a specific function.
Organelles where proteins are synthesized (or made) for the cell.
Double membrane organelle. the powerhouse of the cell. Makes cellular energy in the from of ATP
Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER)
Network of tubes that transfers proteins to golgi body. A place for cell reactions. There is rough ER and smooth ER.
The fluid that fills the cell.
Storage areas for food, water and sometimes waste. They are much smaller in animal cells than in plant cells.
