1. Why are the answers that flow from the scientific aproach more reliable than those based on intuition and common sense?
-Our thinking operates on two levels: concious & unconcious. -Hindsight bias aka ( i-knew-it-all-along method). finding that something has happened makes it seem inevitable.

Hindsight bias and overconfidence often leads us to overestimate our intuition. But scientific inquiry can help us sift reality from illusion.
