The apartment is small they all share bathroom. They don't have much money.

The two of them both have dreams and want to make money. Benny wants to become a doctor, while Walter wants to make money on his own to support his family. Benny spends money on pointless things, and Walter spends money on his kid.

Before Walter got the money he was going mad(getting drunk, fighting with wife). After mama gives him the money he starts acting like the man of the house.

Linder is racist he thinks "colored people" should live in a seprete community and offers them a deal to move. When Walter rejects the offer he gets worked up.

Walter already had a plan for the money before mama even gave it to him, so it was exspected.

Mama and Walter are furious. Walter does feel bad that he disipointed mama. Benny is upset that mama would give the money to walter and allow him to give away her possible future.

Since Walter lost the money mama gave him he wants to sell the house and gain some back so he can feel good and have money again. Mama dissagress and thinks he shouldn't accept money from anyone. Walter than changes into a man.
at the end how have they changed and what still remains the same?
the family relationship with each other has changed. Walter become the man of the house. They buy a new house but they still are not finacially stable.
