systematic review
a summary of a search of quantitative studies that use similar designs based on a focused clinical question (PICO). The goal is to assess the strength and quality of the evidence found in the literature on a clinical subject. The review uses rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria, an explicit reproducible methodology to identify all studies that meet the eligibility criteria, and an assessment of the validity of the findings from the included studies
