Real Number System
Natural numbers, whole numbers, integers, rational numbers and irrational numbers are part of the
Integers
Positive and Negative Whole Numbers and 0. Examples: .... -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3.....(Does not include fractions or decimals)
Rational Numbers
A real number that can be written as a fraction. Rational numbers in decimal form are terminating or repeating.
Natural Numbers
The set of numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, ... Also called counting numbers.
Irrational Numbers
A real number that is not rational. The decimal form never terminates or repeats. An example is pi.
Whole Numbers
Natural numbers ( counting numbers) and zero; 0, 1, 2, 3...
When adding integers with the same sign...
