Oligarchy
A government ruled by a few powerful people; Communist countries would be an example
Democracy
"The rule of the many". The citizens get to participate in the government by voting and voicing their opinion.
Autocracy
A system of government in which the power to rule is in the hands of a single individual., A system of government in which the power to rule is in the hands of a single individual
Parliamentary Democracy
Form of government in which people vote for the legislative body, which in turn selects the prime minister; the United Kingdom is a country that uses this form of government.
Confederation
A political government in which a weak central government has limited authority, and the states/regional have more power.
Federal
A system in which power is divided between the national and state governments:The USA!!!
Unitary
A government that gives all key powers to the national or central government; more countries in the world use this form of government.
Presidential Democracy
A form of government in which the citizens directly elect a president; the legislative and executive branches of government are separate.
