abduction
(physiology) moving of a body part away from the central axis of the body
adduction
(physiology) moving of a body part toward the central axis of the body
circumduction
Motion of a limb that draws a circle
flexion
act of bending a joint; bending at the joint so that the angle between the bones is decreased
extension
straightening at the joint so that the angle between the bones is increased
hyperextension
Continuation of extension beyond the normal extension
dorsiflexion
bending the toes and foot up at the ankle
plantar flexion
Extension of the toes or foot so that they point downward
rotation
movement of a bone around its longitudinal axis
