Who was Socrates and why was he put to death? (We did not study too much on him but you have to know why he died)
Socrates is at once the most exemplary and the strangest of the Greek philosophers. Socratic method laid the groundwork for Western systems of logic and philosophy. Socrates was sentenced to death by hemlock poisoning. He was put to death because he was he was corrupting the youth.
