a group or chain of islands
canyon
a deep, narrow valley with steep sides and often with a river running through it
cliff
a high, steep face of rock and soil

a triangular shaped piece of land made by deposits of mud and sand at the mouth of a river

dry land with few plants and less than 10 inches of annual precipitation
mountain
