PLAY
Linear
Arranged in a straight line
Observed Values
Values that have been obtained through data collection.
Bivariate Data
Data for two variables (usually two types of related data)
Positive Correlation
A correlation where as one variable increases, the other also increases, or as one decreases so does the other.
Negative Correlation
A correlation where as one variable increases, the other decreases.
Predicted Values
Guessing that values will fall on the line of best fit.
Regression Models
Mathematical Models created to fit sets of data which helps researchers solve problems between two or more variables.
Correlation Coefficient
A number between -1 and +1 that is calculated to determine if 2 sets of data are related and will form a line.
Line of Best Fit
A line that show the general direction a group of points is headed.
Scatter Plots
A graph of (x,y) points that show a relationship between different types of data.
