Numbers that are the same distance from zero on the number line but in opposite directions

Coordinate Plane

Origin

A pair of numbers that can be used to locate a point on a coordinate plane
Quadrants
Four regions created by the intersection of the x-axis and the y-axis on a coordinate plane
Quadrant 1
The region in which x and y values are both positive. (top right)
Quadrant 2
The region in which x values are negative and y values are positive (top left)
Quadrant 3
The region in which x and y values are both negative. (bottom left)
Quadrant 4
The region in which x values are positive and y values are negative (bottom right)
absolute value
The distance a number is from zero on a number line. ALWAYS POSITIVE
