Help US business succeed by investing in other countries or getting new ideas for business from other countries.
Prevent armed conflict or genocide around the world.
Not just help countries from fighting one another (world peace) but also preventing violence within a country.
Help improve health, education and living conditions around the world.
By improving the standard of living of other countries, it encourages democracy, free trade and business opportunities abroad. The goal is to improve the world and makes the US a partner in helping the community of nations.
Provide economic assistance to developing countries
By providing foreign aide to less fortunate countries, it improves their living conditions and good relations with the US.
Promote human rights around the world
Encourage other countries to protect freedom of religion, speech, equality of citizens, and other human rights.
Prevent nuclear proliferation
Prevent new countries from getting nuclear weapons and limiting the weapons of those that have them already.
Support and protect our allies
Help those countries that have friendly relationships and treaties with the U.S. to maintain these friendships
