Americans with Disability Act. Provides full and fair employment/treatment to the disabled. It allows EMT's who can perform the functionable job skills the oppurtunity to pursue a career in EMS.
What is the definition of an AEMT?
Administer certain medications, Have IV therapy skills, use of advanced airway adjuncts.
What is ALS?
Advanced Life Support. Some EMT courses are now focusing on ALS, which is heart monitoring, giving fluids and medication, advanced airway adjuncts.

A health care model, experienced paramedics receive training so they can give service in prehospital environment
