4.1 Welfare of Society
Psychology, in all it's forms, should be for the good of society. Needs and current issues should be considered carefully. Results should be reported carefully so that information cannot be misused.
4.2 Respect for Society
Care and appropriate training should be undertaken when working with specific communities. Laws of society should be followed.
4.3 Benefit to Society
Work has to be beneficial and useful. If unethical practises are found they should be reported.
4.4 Accountability, standards and ethical practices.
Ethical guidelines need to be known and followed. Ethical practice should be promoted. Complaints must be dealt with professionally. If a psychologist suspects others of breaching ethical guidelines they should let authorities know.
