Started Chipotle. Inspired by the taco restaurants in San Francisco. Graduated form the Culinary Institute of America. Wanted to create his own version with simple ingredients and prepare them with the same care and detail as a fine dining restaurant.
Located in Denver, Colorado. Opened July 13th, 1993. With money borrowed from his father. Seats only 20 people. Office is in the basement.
Monty Moran Co-CEO
Joined Chipotle in 2005. Established the Restaurateur Program. Grew up with Steve. Started career as a lawyer.
To change the way people think about and eat fast food. AND Create a special people culture where top performers are empowered to achieve high standards.
