What is Mercantilism?
An economic system of trade in which the mother country controls and exploits the natural resources and raw materials from its colonies to make money and gain power.
What is Triangular trade?
A specific, economic system of trade between England, Africa and the American Colonies. America exports raw materials to England. England then sends manufactured goods to Africa and back to the Colonies, Africa exports slaves to America. England controls all trade throughout the process and gains great wealth and power.
How did Mercantilism and Triangular Trade start and progress slavery in the Americas?
Through trade between the countries.

What were the Navigation Acts and how did they relate to Triangular Trade and Mercantilism ?
"The acts required that goods brought to England or its colonies in Asia, Africa, or America be carried on English ships or ships made in the colonies."

What was the Mayflower Compact and why was it important?
It was an agreement that laid out plans for governing a new colony.
What were the Fundamental Orders of Connecticut and why was it important?
"This document established a General Assembly of representatives from many towns."
What was the English Bill of Rights and how did it affect the colonists?
"...officially protect the rights of English citizens and Parliament."
Who were the sides fighting in the French and Indian War?
native americans, french, british, colonists
Who won the French and Indian war and what impact did it have on all the sides involved?
Britain won & French lost all of their territory.
What was Bacon's Rebellion and why was it important?
Started because Bacon argued that the governor held too much power and that the colonists should be more involved with the government. Ended because Bacon unexpectedly died a month later.
Why did the Proclamation of 1763 anger the Colonists?
they felt that it was to keep them under control
