the vertical (up/down) line; Dependent (responded) variable is on this line

describes WHAT information is being collected (investigated)

describes HOW the information is being measured (Ex: MONTHS - unit of time)
Intersection
the crossing of two grid lines
Point (Data Point)
the dot which marks the spot where two pieces of data meet on the grid

the action of marking the dot for an ordered pair on a graph
