Secretary and President. The Secretary records the meeting's proceedings and the President is the presiding officer.
Agenda: What is it; What does it usually include?
A list of activities that are expected to be accomplished in the meeting; The call to meeting, opening ceremonies, reading and approval of the minutes, reading and approval of the treasurer's report, unfinished business, and a list of the items of new business expected to be considered.
Call to Order: What is this?
When the chair (President) gets everyone attention and calls the meeting to order.

Any new item of business relating to something the club will be doing; After recognition from the chair (th President), say "I move to" or "I move that we" and state your proposal; Someone must second it.
Second: Who makes it; What does it mean?
Another member of the organization; The seconder agrees the motion should be considered.
Stating the Question: What is it; What does it do?
When the chair states the motion; It formally makes the motion the assembly's property of consideration.

Subsidary Motions: What are they; Examples?

Anual meeting: What is it?
A yearly meeting.
Executive session: What is it?
A special meeting-within-a-meeting that provides an opportunity for the board to meet privately to handle sensitive and confidential issues, foster robust discourse, and strengthen trust and communication.
Failed motion: What is it?
A motion that never gets seconded or a motion that didn't pass the voting requirements.
What is "putting the question before the assembly"?
When the chair calls for a vote after the members are done debating the motion at hand.
Roll call vote: What is it?
A vote in which every person's name is called and each person says "yea" or "nay".
Ballot vote: What is it?
When each member recieves one piece of paper onto which they write their vote. The votes are then counted.
Adoption (of a motion): What does it mean?
To accept amotion, like when it has a majority vote.
What is Abstention?
A member's choice to cast neither an affirmative nor a negative vote. For calculating majority or two thirds, an abstention is treated as if no vote were cast.
What is Previous Notice?
Notification of members about intent to consider a motion some amount of time before the session, usually at the prior meeting or in the announcement of the meeting.
What is voting by Show of Hands?
When members indicate their votes by raising their hands when prompted.
What is unanimous consent?
Passage of a motion that is obviously uncontroversial is sometimes attained by asking for objections. If none are offered, the motion passes.
What does a restorative motion do?
Allow the assembly to reverse or reconsider the decision previously made on some other motion. For example, the motion to reconsider a main motion is a restorative motion.
