All things common refers to early Saints giving over to the church all their properties and being deeded back a portion according to their wants and needs.
The United Order was a consecration-based business organization of the church in Kirtland and Missouri. Participating members, by covenant, United church business, such as a hotel, a tannery, an ashtray, a sawmill, and bishop Whitneys store in Kirkland.
Law of consecration is that as God's agents, we dedicate our time, talents, and means to building up God's kingdom on earth as he directs us. To consecrate means to dedicate something, or to set it apart as holy.
