The perpendicular distance from the base of a geometric figure to the opposite vertex.
The number of square units needed to cover a given surface.
The number being put to a power: 8^3=8x8x8, 8 is the base.
A closed curve with all points on the curve an equal distance from a given point called the center of the circle.
The distance around a circle: equal to pi times diameter.
A quadrilateral whose opposite sides are parallel and congruent.
The ratio of the circumference of a circle to the length of its diameter: pi=3.14 or 22/7.
A four-sided polygon (shape).
A line segment with one endpoint at the center of a circle and the other endpoint on the circle.
A parallelogram whose four sides are congruent and whose opposite angles are congruent.
A unit of measure that has a length of one unit and a width of one unit used to measure area.
A quadrilateral with only one pair of parallel sides, normally connected by slanted sides.
The point where two sides meet.
