Short-term and working memory

Memory that holds 5-7 items for 15-30 seconds
Long-term Memory
Memory that can hold large amounts of information for years or decades.
Persistence of vision
Retention of the perception of light in the mind, such as sparklers at night

Active processes of memory that can be controlled by a a person and can differ from one task to another
