Terms in this set (14)
Adjacent angel
Two angles in the same plane that have one common vertex and common side, but no interior points in common.
Complementary angles
Two angles with measures that, when added together, equal 90 degree. Each angle is called the complement of the other.
Supplementary angles
Two angles with measures that, when added together, equal 180 degree. Each angle is called the supplement of the other.
Vertical angles
Angles with sides that form two pairs.
Angle measurement
Every angle has a real number.
Theorem 3-6
One to one corresponds of points on opposite rays with 0 degrees and 180 degrees.
Theorem 3-2
Adjacent angles whose exterior sides are opposite rays are supplementary.
Theorem 3-3
Perpendicular lines form right angles.
Theorem 3-4
Angles whose exterior sides are perpendicular rays are complementary.
Theorem 3-5
If two angles are supplementary to the same angle or equal angles, they are equal. (Transitive property)
Theorem 3-6
If two angles are complementary to the same angle, they are equal.(transitive property)
Theorem 3-7
IF TWO LINES INTERSECT, THEY FORM OPPOSITE ANGLES. THEY ARE EQUAL
Theorem 3-8
All right angles are equal. (Transitive property)
Theorem 3-9
Lines forming right angels are perpendicular
