why should we hire you/what sets you apart?
i have good communication skills which will allow me to work well in a team environment as well as interact towards the guests in a courteous manner.
I also can work well in a fast pace environment and under pressure, as well as working in at slower pace by being able to keep myself busy and always finding something to do.

in any circumstance i would immediately report the theft to upper management.

costumer satisfaction is the top priority, so having thorough knowledge of our inventory and experiences with products, and overall being able to help the guests make the best choices.

I would apologize and ask if i was able to offer a free sample of an appetizer while they wait.
What makes you interested in this position?
I enjoy talking to people and I also see an opportunity for me to learn and grow these with the skills that I will acquire from this position.
What is your favorite meal on our menu and how would you describe it to a guest?
My favorite meal is the classic broccoli fettechini alfredo. I would describe it using sensory words to make it sound as pleasing as possible, "Juicy chicken on pasta topped with warm broccoli and creamy alfredo sauce.

I am very excited for the experiences here and I think this role is a great fit for my skills. I see myself working here for as long as possible hopefully gaining opportunities for career advancement within this company.

I would concentrate on Engagements That Stimulate Positive Feelings and I would directly respond to the guest's feedback.
What would you say if a guest asked you a question you did not know the answer to?
I would inform the guest that I do not know the answer to their question and then I would find someone who would be able to answer their question.
Tell about a time you were involved in a conflict or challenge at school and how it was resolved
I was working on a science project with someone who's priorities were not deadlines and through the process of completing the assignment I noticed their part in the work was not being completed and when I approached them about it they came off with a negative response. I readjusted my thought process to try and understand what i could do to assist him on improving his performance and he told me he was working on other projects and I told him i was able to help finish his other assignments as long as he was able to complete his work on our project and in the end it was resolved and our project was turned in by the deadline.
What motivates you?
learning new things and experiencing new opportunities out of my comfort zone.
How do you handle stress?
I actually work better under stress and find that I enjoy working in a challenging environment

I was working in a group of 4 on a history project and we all took different roles to research different aspects of the project and in the end we all came together with our knowledge to create the project with all parts. My role was to research a topic and make a chart filled with information.
What would you do if you saw a table in someone else's section who hadn't been greeted for an extended period of time?
I would immediately approach their table and ask them what they would like and apologize for the wait.
What would you do if you saw a co-worker being rude to a customer?
I would approach the co-worker and ask them nicely to step away from the costumer and then I would apologize to the costumer and ask them what the issue was.
You have a tray with food ready to go out for a table of four, but you notice one of the steaks is overcooked. What do you do?
I would bring the food that was ready to the table and apologize for the wait on the other plate and send it back to get a new one.
How do you feel about tip sharing?
I have no problem with tip sharing. I believe everyone on the team should be compensated fairly for their hard work
What made you apply here compared to other restaurants?
I noticed on the job description that you needed someone with great communication skills and a positive attitude and i believe those requirements fit my skills.
How would you handle a bad tip?
Bad tips are unavoidable so I would not take it personally and work harder for the next guest.
How would you defuse a situation with an upset customer?
I would defuse the situation with a positive attitude, listening thoroughly to their concerns and approaching the subject apologetically and courteously.
