Terms in this set (25)
Introduce yourself/ Tell me about yourself.
BASIC IDEA: Magis morning to everyone! I am Andrea Joyce Peñaflor from 12-STEM Collins, and it has truly been an honor to be invited here in front of an esteemed panel of judges virtually. In my brief stay in the Ateneo I have been a consistent student leader in class-based initiatives, and organization projects as well. I have served my class as the president for the entire duration of SHS, and I have also been entrusted with the legacy of being Ateneo Debate Congress' 4th Captain. Aside from this, I also interest myself in creative pursuits as I am a senior member of Vista de Aguila's layout department. Overall, I think I am a systematic and an innovative person that hopes to impact others through my project initiatives in a positive light.
What are your strengths?
BASIC IDEA: I am disciplined and I know what I have to sacrifice. I am well-aware of the concept of tradeoffs. I think you can never get anything grand in life without considering the steps that you need to fulfill little by little to achieve a long-term goal. This also ties back to using discernment efficiently (eg: in every second, ask yourself what should I be doing with my time? Is it meaningful? Will I not feel any guilt if I used it in another way?). In between two choices you have to inevitably choose.
What are your weaknesses?
BASIC IDEA: I am very detail-oriented (layout artist) I have a tendency to be very hyper fixated with small things and I tend to forget the bigger picture.
What achievement are you most proud of?
BASIC IDEA: Sabayang Pagbasa. It was meaningful because it gave me a boost of confidence. We can thrive even in incredibly new environments. It gave me a chance to grow closer with my classmates.

Which Atenean value do you need improvement on?
BASIC IDEA: Atenean values are very non-negotiable and they can be applied in any type of field. All of them can use improvement.
What is your most saturated state?
BASIC IDEA: I would go away from my laptop, and I would talk to people. Because as a human I think I also find comfort in seeking advice from others, and in the same way I think emotional support given to you by your family, friends, and everyone you hold dear to your heart is irreplaceable.

If you were an animal, what would you be and why?
"A horse is the type of animal I would be because I'm focused, and able to work independently or in a group."
Horses are very graceful creatures, and choosing a horse as your animal is a great way to show you're a hard worker. Horses can work well on their own, or in a group, so if you're interviewing for a role that requires some independent work, this answer is a great way to show that you're flexible and capable of getting your work done in different environments.
What was the biggest challenge that you encountered when you entered SHS?

What made you choose STEM?
STEM never fails to bring out the child in me. Work + play.

Never be confined in a box (as a woman, as an innovator, as a person that hopes for the greater good of people).

Tackle about child development. A lot of us suffer from unintentional and unnecessary scars especially in the start of our years of existence.
