Skull-Cranium, Humerus- upper arm, radius and ulna- forearm bones, vertebrae -backbones, pelvis- hip bone, femur- thigh, patella- knee bone, tibia and fibular- lower leg bones and scapula - shoulder bones.
Major Muscles
Deltoid- shoulder , pectoral - upper chest , rectus abdominus - stomach area, quadriceps -thigh , gastrocnemius- calf, trapezius - back of shoulder, latissimus dorsi- upper back , biceps and triceps- upper arm and gluteus maximus- your butt.
Functions of the Skeletal system
provides shape and support, allows movement, protects your viscera, produces blood cells and stores calcium and phosphorus.
Muscular System
Allow you to move by contracting and relaxing muscles.
Articulations- joints
pivot, hinge, gliding, fixed, and ball and socket
Parts of a bone
epiphysis, diaphysis, articular cartilage, periosteum, spongy bone, compact bone
Cancellous bone
spongy bone
