What motivates terrorism
Religion, prestige, power, political change, and material gain. Terorrists believe they are elite society and act in the name of the people.
Terrorist operations
Small sects, little interraction and tight central control held by few. Operate with good will and sympathetic foreign national governments. Share resources, expertise, and safe havens. Seek to achieve objectives through fear, intimidation and force.

What are the four basic Threatcon levels
Threatcon Alpha
General threat of possible terrorist activity against installations and personnel.
Threatcon Bravo
An increase and more predictable threat of terrorist action.
Threatcon Charlie
An incident has occured or intelligence has been received indicating a terrorist attack is imminent.
Threatcon Delta
Attack has occured, or that intell indicates that a terrorist attack against a specific location is likely.
