True. Assured out-of-state tuition waiver qualification begins with a 3.0 GPA & 24 ACT or a 3.25 GPA. For legacies (parent or grandparent is alum), no GPA/ACT requirement. The McKnight Scholarship offers the only full out-of-state tuition waiver for four years, but it is not an assured scholarship; it is highly competitive & also includes a $5,000 cash award for students' first 2 years.
