they are on the same line
What is an axiom?
a statement that is accepted as being true without any proof
Through any two points...
only one straight line can be drawn.
Define line segment.
part of a line that consists of 2 end points and all of the points inbetween

Define collinear.
points that lie on the same line
Define a line.
straight path that extends in two opposite directions forever and is undefined
- ex: AB with <-> on top
Define a ray.
part of a line that consists of one end point and all of the points on the line are on one side of that endpoint
- one side goes on forever while the other has an endpoint
- ex: AB with -> on top
Define an angle.
formed by two rays with the same endpoint
- the rays are the sides and the endpoint is the vertex (or turning point)
- ex: m∠ABC
What does the "m" mean in m∠?
the measure of...
- means answer is a number
What do you have to be mindful of when labeling multiple angles with just one letter?
