There are 3 different ways you can be alerted that the Drager is in alarm. What are those 3 different alarms?
Locate the button to turn on the Drager, and then turn on the unit.
The member shall locate the green "OK" button and hold it for approximately 3 seconds
What are the 4 readings the Drager measures, and point out each one? (The member shall visually show evaluator each display reading)
H2S (only on trucks and squads)
How long can it take to warm up all 4 sensors?
Up to 5 minutes
What does a flashing exclamation point (!) on the display screen indicate?
Flashing "!" = The Drager is warming up
What does a solid exclamation point (!) indicate?
Solid (!) = LEL sensor needs calibration
What does it mean if there is no exclamation point (!)?
No (!) - Drager is warmed up and functioning properly
There are (2) alarm levels - A1 & A2. How many beeps will you hear with each alarm?
A1 - 1 beep
A2 - 2 beeps
At what point will the Drager sound in alarm 1 & alarm 2 for LEL, and what is our expected practice for this indication?
A1 is at .5% (Evaluate further)
A2 is at 1.0% (withdraw)
At what point will the Drager sound in alarm 1 & alarm 2 for O2, and what is our expected practice for this indication?
A1 is at 19.5% (don SCBA)
A2 is at 23% (withdraw)
At what point will the Drager sound in alarm 1 & alarm 2 for CO, and what is our expected practice for this indication?
A1 is at 35ppm (don SCBA)
A2 is at 50ppm (continue to have SCBA donned)
How do you turn the unit off?
The member shall press the green and blue buttons together to turn the unit off
How do you clean the Drager?
Damp sponge, soap and water. No solvents.
When the Drager is in the charger, what does a solid red light indicate?
A fully charged battery
If you anticipate using the Drager; when and where should you turn the unit on?
In fresh air, before arrival, if possible
