How has globalization affected the life chance of young adults in the US today?
Research has indicated that education on mobility changes have decreased somewhat resulting in global economic competition because everyone has an education and also the implications of this which is a shortage of jobs open.
Culture of poverty
A thesis, popularized by Oscar Lewis, that poverty is not a result of individual inadequacies but is instead the outcome of a larger social and cultural atmosphere into which successive generations of children are socialized. It's transmitted across generations because young people see little point in aspiring to something more, instead resigning themselves to a life impoverished.
