Acuff-Rose Publishing
Formed by country music performer Roy Acuff and Fred Rose, it was a major Nashville music-industry icon, having a respected track-record as a country music song publishing company. Acuff-Rose headquarters was on 8th Avenue South in the Melrose district of Nashville and was a landmark to those knowledgeable of the music industry. It was at those headquarters that Hank Williams Sr. proved to Rose his ability, writing the hit song, "I Can't Help It If I'm Still in Love with You." Rose immediately befriended Williams, as he did with many other successful country music stars.
