Michael Faraday would not have been a great scientist if he had not worked hard because hard work is necessary to achieve great things. Faraday began working as an errand boy in a bookseller's shop at age 13. He was later apprenticed to a bookseller. He read and studied much and attended lectures as often as possible. He worked many hours each day. He later worked for Sir Humphrey Davy and discovered magnetic-electricity.
