a small, portable flash memory card that plugs into a computer's USB port and acts like a portable hard drive

Central Processing Unit-the brains of a computer

a special symbol, ususally a blinking underline character, that signifies where the next character will be displayed on the screen
database
a collection of information organized in such as way that a computer program can quickly select desired pieces of data
default
a value or setting that a device or program authomaticcal selects if you do not specify a substitute

used to remove characters and other objects

the computer; also includes menus and icons for launching application and managing the computer

an increasingly negative term referring to individuals who gain unauthorized access to computer systems for the purpose of stealing or corrupting data

Home Tab/ribbon
a character on the computer keyboard that moves the cursor to the top of the screen/page
