Here are descriptions of the five shapes of molecules we are responsible for knowing. Examples are also provided.

a structure which has two atoms bonded to a central atom which also has one or more lone pairs of electrons.
a structure which has two electron clouds which are 180 degrees from each other.
a structure which has a central atom with four atoms bond to it.
a structure which has three electron clouds on a central atom, but no lone pairs of electrons
a structure which has four electron clouds on a central atom, three of which are bonded to other atoms, and one of which sits alone.
