the curved path a celestial object or spacecraft travels on around a star, planet, or moon.
rotation
the action of rotating around an axis or center.
axis
an imaginary line about which a an object rotates.
revolution
one full rotation. For example, the earth revolves around the sun. One full rotation (about 365 days) is called a revolution.
gravity
the force that attracts a body toward the center of the earth, or toward any other physical body having mass.
earth
the planet on which we live; the world.
moon
the natural satellite of the earth, visible (chiefly at night) by reflected light from the sun
sun
the star around which the earth orbits.
sunrise
the time in the morning when the sun appears or full daylight arrives.
sunset
the time in the evening when the sun disappears or daylight fades.
