Hemisphere Parts

Each hemisphere is divided into four lobes
Occipital Lobe
process visual information, can produce hallucinations
Parietial Lobe
process touch, pressure, pain, temperature, contains SOMATOSENSORY cortex (touch)
Frontal Lobe
solves problems, makes decisions, process emotional states, weighs evidence, and carries out coordinated actions, contains the motor cortex
Temporal Lobe
processes senorsy information, sensory input, auditory perception, language and speech production, as well as memory association and formation.
Association Areas
Found in each lobe, is responsible for putting sensory inforation toegether to form meaningful perceptions of the world
