Acidosis
excessive acidity of body fluids
Acromegaly
enlargement of the bones of the extremities and face due to excessive secretion of growth hormone
Diabetes insipidus
a metabolic condition by a disorder of the pituitary gland characterized by copious secretion of urine and excessive thirst
Diabetes mellitus
condition characterized by the inability to metabolize carbohydrates, proteins, and fats due to insufficient insulin production, secretion, or the inability of insulin to perform its functions; diabetes mellitus can be insulin-dependent (IDDM) means the individual must inject insulin to control blood glucose levels, or non-insulin-dependent (NNIDDM), which means blood glucose levels are controlled by diet alone or by diet and oral medication
Dwarfism
congenital condition characterized by abnormal underdevelopment due to a deficiency of human growth hormone
Exophthalmia
abnormal outward protrusion of the eyeball; one of the signs of hyperthyroidism, specifically Graves disease; also called exophthalmos
