HMS Cells Part 2

Cell Wall
a thin membrane around the cytoplasm of a cell. Found ONLY in plant cells.
Organelle in PLANT cells containing chlorophyll for photosynthesis.
When a plant uses Chloroplasts to turn sunlight into energy.
When cells get a specific structure and function (i.e. muscle cell, bone cell, etc.).
Properties of Cells
All cells reproduce, require energy.
Plant Cells have:
organelles including chloroplasts (turn light energy into food during photosynthesis) and cell walls (protection).
Animal Cells have
organelles including mitochondria, but DO NOT have chloroplasts and cell walls (found only in plant cells).
