a remedy that stops or controls the effects of a poison (Narcan)
antiemetic
prevents or relieves nausea and vomiting (Dramamine, Marinol, Phenergan, Reglan, Tigan)
antiflatulent
relieve discomfort of excess gas and bloating in the GI tract
antifungal
an agent that destroys or inhibits the growth of fungi
antigout
Used in the treatment of active gout attacks or to prevent future attacks: colchicine (Novocolchine) Uric Acid inhibitor: Probenecid (benemid)
antihistamine
acts to prevent the action of histamine (allergies) (Allegra, Benadryl, Dimetane)
antihyperlipidemic

antimanic
used for treatment of manic episode of manic-depressive and bipolar disorder (lithium)
antimigraine
causes vasoconstriction in large intracranial arteries, (Sumatriptan)
antineoplastic
prevents the replication of neoplastic cells; used to treat tumors (Myleran, Cytoxan)
antiparkinsonian
used for palliative relief of major symptoms of Parkinson disease (L-Dopa, Requip, Symmetrel, Tasar)
